Justinhale's original CD titled "Perish the Thought"
is available at all of their shows. Only a fixed number
of CD's were produced and are distributed
to parties interested in listening to their music.
Select tracks are performed regularly at shows including the
most requested songs "Hey," "Let it Go," and "Guitar Man."

"Perish the Thought" has been complimented on its diversity, both lyrical and musical, and its eclectic influences that helped forge its creation. The album was recorded at Soundscape Studios in McKeesport PA and all music was recorded in 2, 8 hour sessions with no click tracks.

Curb Magazine writes . . . "JUSTINHALE: PERISH THE THOUGHT Eight songs from these rockers, who walk along the lines of Alice in Chains and early 90s rock have a future mark to make in the performing arts today. Track 7, "The Art of Persuasion" has a great lead guitar line reminiscent of Dramarama. Check it Out."

"Perish the Thought" follows a loosely written storyline dealing with emotional contexts and inward explorations.

The intro track, "Guitar Man" sets the stage for blending old dilemmas with new (or alternate) perspectives. This is merely one guitar man's struggles to attempt to figure out who he is and what he should be doing with his life.

Crying is forged from surviving disillusioned relationships that initially seem and feel wonderful but are actually confining and restrictive. Where settling for contentedness can spark enraged feelings at oneself for lacking the ability to break free of the self-inflicted misery, thus causing an inevitable cleansing cry.

Overdose is a metaphorical inward journey taken in life frequently to carry us through troubled times. It is the ferryman on a guided healing tour, where we are "taken away" from who we are or who we're pretending to be and figure out what life we're living, or what life we feel we should be living.

Hey is where the ferryman drops us off - the happy place in our mind that we retreat to when we need to get away. It is the rarely attained world of self-fulfilled bliss where we find joy in the simplest of truths.

Soul Searching is reflective of rational thought settling back in (One might say, Coming Down or the Journey's End.) The 4 bar progression of acoustic sincerity highlights the emotional awareness that our souls are searching for their potential purpose.

Let it Go is the logical rationale to let go of the things holding us back so we can achieve our highest potential, even though we all too often rationalize our lesser attained status and deem our situation acceptable.

"The Art of Persuasion" demonstrates purpose in its sarcastic wit by questioning relative facts of persuasive sociologic ideologies.

"Last Call" wraps up the "perished thoughts" with a satirical twist that states to forget everything you just heard. The Show's over. Go home!

WHERE CAN I GET MY OWN COPY?

Justinhale only produced a select number of CD's and therefore only sell them specifically to fans who have seen them perform. So you must attend a show in order to be one of the elite that have a copy of "Perish the Thought."

WHY DON'T WE SELL THEM IN RECORD STORES?

We are not concerned with making money off of this album. We made this album to create a base for our own music and so that others could take us home with them. We are proud of our 8 track CD and hope that anyone who purchases one enjoys it as much as we did making it.

ONE FINAL QUANDARY . . .

Justinhale's name is also continuously confusing the public - they think it's a band member, one person from our past, "Just in hell" or some other myth. The name, "JUSTINHALE" emerged from the Clinton era when Bill stated that he tried smoking herb but did not inhale. Our advice to President Clinton was to "Just inhale!" and our album's title was the president's reply, "Perish the thought!"

So now you know about our political activism and one of the stories behind our name . . . Justin Hale, Justinhale, Just inhale!

And the rest of the story is . . .

* Our name was also influenced by our love for the "The Simpsons." In particular, Bart and his prank phone calls to Moe's Tavern. He would ask for imaginary individuals like, Al Coholic, I.P Freely, and Amanda Hugandkiss." So, when "Justin Hale," with its alternate meanings was first spoken at rehearsal, we all laughed at our crank call to Moe! And Justin was born!

*Also* Justin Case is our equipment case that stores all our cords - just in case you hear us asking for Justin at the show! ; )
